ZOOM TOASTMASTERS

ZOOMING

Since the Governor shut down all gatherings, our Toastmasters Groups reverted to online meetings. It was a challenging change but we've learned new presentation skills.

Even training and speech contests were online.

I also achieved my 3rd Distinguished Toastmasters Medal

SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL

SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL
Maris Farms started a new event this year, the Sunflower Festival. They planted 2 acres of
sunflowers. People could pick and purchase bundles of flowers.

VICTORY GARDEN

 VICTORY GARDEN

Since the Governor proclaimed a stay-at-home order, I devoted most my time to the yard and garden.

I didn't feel trapped at all. The place looks like a park. We trimmed bushes and planted lots of flowers.

Our social distancing spot. It stayed a vibrant green all summer

2020 HIKES

 2020 HIKES

Naches Peak

I climbed Naches Peak and hiked up to Knapsack Pass. Both hikes were steep and grueling.

KNAPSACK PASS
Knapsack Pass is a grueling hike starting at Mowich Lake. It isn't marked so very few hikers
know about it. I didn't see anyone as I hiked up and only three parties as I went down.

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN GONDOLA

 CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN GONDOLA

The Governor shut almost every store and restaurant down in May and proclaimed a stay-at-home

order. When the order lifted, I headed for the mountains to do some social distancing. Our first

Outing was Crystal Mountain Gondola. We actually went up twice this year with friends.
